Toyota Hybrid HighLander Overviews

The Highlander offers a satisfying balance of cargo space and fuel economy without resorting to full-size dimensions. As the most fuel-efficient seven-passenger vehicle available, fuel economy estimates are about 50 percent better than competing non-hybrid crossovers and 25 percent better than other seven-passenger “eco-friendly” SUVs. And the fuel efficiency only gets better if most of driving is the stop-and-go of city traffic. Toyota somehow manages all this on top of developing a hybrid powertrain that’s strong enough to provide good acceleration and towing capacity.
